IRB - 2012 Vernon Pugh award to Viorel Morariu (RO)

 On 13th December in Bucharest (RO), Bernard Lapasset, with Jean-Claude Baqué, has awarded Viorel Morariu with the Vernon Pugh Trophy.

Viorel Morariu, former International Rumanian of Rugby, manager of his Federation and finally Member in the FIRA-AER where he was the first elected FIRA-AER representative in the IRB, has received from Bernard Lapasset's hands the trophy Vernon Pugh. 

In the presence of Jean-Claude Baqué, President of the FIRA-AER who received the trophy Vernon Pugh in 2010, Alin Petrache, President of the Rumanian Federation of Rugby and Octavian Morariu, his son, Viorel was very touched and he thanked Bernard Lapasset and the IRB for the honor which is made for him today. 

This ceremony will stay in the memories of numerous Romanians and all his friends of the rugby World, who know Viorel and his big kindness and modesty.
