Yesterday started the CAR U19 championship in Ivory Coast. I think it is also qualifying for the next year World Trophy U20.
Quarterfinals:
Namibia vs Zambia (but Namibia was not sure to partecipate due to lack of money)
Morocco vs Tunisia
Kenya vs Uganda
Zimbabwe vs Ivory Coast

Yes it is qualification for JWT 2011. Namibia clearly resolved their problems, see also http://www.namibian.com.na/news/full-st ... r-abidjan/

In fact it turns out Zambia are a no show.

Zimbabwe 45 - 0 Cote d'Ivoire
Uganda 20 - 0 Kenya
Tunisia 18 - 0 Morocco
Namibia 14 - 0 Zambia ( walkover )

http://www.kenyarfu.com/

Different scorelines given at http://fr.allafrica.com/stories/201007280830.html

Next up for JWT qualification ( not sure about the other placing games )

Uganda vs Zimbabwe
Namibia vs Tunisia

Results in from the Africa U20s

Namibia 15 Tunisia 11 ( Namibia scored late try to win from behind )
Zimbabwe 29 - 0 Uganda

No result yet for Cote d' Ivoire vs Kenya ( Morocco presumably have a bye ).

Zimbabwe vs Namibia for the JWT 2011 slot then.

Germany won't take part in the U19 European Championships. The reason: 25.000 € which are the calculated costs for the participation are too much for the union. I don't know but doesn't this sound ridiculous at least?

The fixtures of the Lao's tournament. Reduction to 5 teams (in the original program they were 6 but I don't know which withdrew) forced the organizers to a very intensive schedule. Four matches in five days. For someone (Kazakhstan and India) four matches in four days!

Foru published yesterday the calendar of the continental U19 tournament. Fixtures are a bit illogical because Samoa and PNG will meet in a friendly game in the penultimate day and then they will probably meet again for the final match in the last day: http://www.oceaniarugby.com/100817_u19s ... ml/ref/267

Mon Aug 16, 3.30 pm, Bermuda 12 - 10 Bahamas
Mon Aug 16, 5.00 pm, Barbados 0 - 14 T&T

T & T have secured 1st place in Pool B, Pool A depends on outcome of Cayman vs Bermuda.

again from Asia, second day of II level tournament

Iran vs India 22-14
Philippines vs Kazakhstan 22-10

Philippines and Iran lead with 2 victories, all the rest zero

To note the absence of China, they seem uninterested in rugby XV
